SSD UK is a small, personal soft-heartedness run entirely by volunteers who share a unconfined love for animals. Stuffa small soft-heartedness all help, no matter how large or small, makes a real difference to lives of the many, many trappy dogs who are cleared up off the streets of southern Spain. No ‘shelters’, only pounds We do not have the unrestrictedness for a physical ‘shelter’ for these dogs, and so instead we work as nonflexible as we possibly can to raise funds and sensation to support the plight of the dogs left in municipal [council] pounds in southern Spain.  Pounds where the supplies and superintendency provided by volunteers is the only source of repletion for the dogs.  Pounds where the dogs would remain - if it weren’t for the vast efforts of volunteers who seek homes for those dogs that are ready, and who rehabilitate those that aren’t. It is easy to seem that ‘pounds’ equate to ‘rescue shelters’, however this is not the case.  Pounds are designated holding places for dogs that have been removed from the streets and fields; they are often massively overstretched and therefore overcrowded – noisy and frightening environments for animals.  New dogs are admitted daily, and comforts are not a priority. Low costs, genuine support We try to alimony the adoption financing as low as possible to requite these stunning dogs the maximum endangerment of stuff offered new lives: the total fee is £350 [£200 transporter fee plus £150 for vet financing of castration, thoroughbred screening, microchip, vaccinations, passport and deworm/deflea treatments]. We know how important it is to be supported through your adoption – and succeeding – and so we invite everyone to join our online polity to share experience, requite and receive translating – and are unchangingly misogynist to help with any queries that may arise.Trappybreeds Yet the eyeful of the dogs of southern Spain cannot be denied – from pure to navigate breed, the coats, colours and personalities of the dogs are so varied and so very delightful. We see many of these wonderful breeds: Bodegueros – sometimes tabbed the Spanish Jack Russell – friendly, lively terriers that make sympathizing and funny companions; often bi or tri-colour, and small unbearable to fit into most households!  The name translates as ‘Winemaker’, named without the wineries within which they would work transmissible rats Brittany [‘Breton’] Spaniels - the historic cousin of the Springer Spaniel and often referred to as a ‘Springer with an off-switch’; Brittanys make spanking-new companions and family dogs Podencos – these smart, eager to please dogs are known for their delightfully sweet personalities and their wondrous ears!  Their name meaning ‘hound’, podencos are often a stunning ‘fox-red’ colour or tan and white Spanish water dogs – intelligent, loyal and versatile dogs with incredible coats and a love of zippy lifestyles – if you want a dog to play or exercise with, water dogs often like to do both! Other wonderful breeds that SSD UK helps to home include dalmatians, German Shepherds, labradors, retrievers, beagles, pointers…and some wonderful mixtures of all or any of these! Feedback from Adopters There are many reasons to prefer one of the wonderful doggies advertised by Spanish Stray Dogs UK.  But please don't just take our word for it, read feedback from some of our adopters. Lindsay, Norfolk (adopted Jade)“We have fallen in love with Jade.  She honestly is perfect for our family and it feels like she's been with us forever!  She is mythological on the lead and is once learning what we mean.  I am stuff very gentle with her as she's still a little wary at times, but stuff firm too as she's a taunting one!  You honestly couldn’t have chosen a increasingly perfect dog for us, thank you from the marrow of my heart.”   Elsa, Yorkshire (adopted Elvira)“Elvira is here - it's all very exciting, and not what I was expecting! She is way increasingly trappy than I had imagined…she looks very refined, not the stray mongrel I was envisaging - her photos don't do her justice.  Thank you so much for helping me prefer Elvira and for saving her life. She is such a funny, merry little dog and she is once part of the family. Thanks a lot for your swift replies. I think that your soft-heartedness is really well run and very efficient.  It's unconfined that you are managing to help these unfortunate strays. It's moreover reassuring for me as a prospective adopter to finger that I will have your support and redundancy if I do encounter any problems, a unconfined plus." Lisa, Manchester (adopted Nahla)“I honestly cannot believe how well Nahla settled, it was scrutinizingly instant.  She is an wool sweetie-pie who just loves people. She's loved everyone she has met (and vice versa!)  I can't imagine life without her already, she's amazing. Every day she seems to get cuter and cuter and it's lovely to spend my mornings, lunch and evenings with her, whether wavy virtually like a loony or curled up in my lap sleeping and twitching, adorable. Last weekend she went to a pet store, walked by a canal, sat in a beer garden (getting stroked every 10 seconds), went on her first train journey and ran virtually my parents’ when garden, chasing birds & frogs.  Everything is great…she is probably the weightier dog in the world.” Rhiannon, Staffordshire (adopted Blanco)"I tell everyone where Blanco has come from to spread the word of Spanish Stray Dogs. He is doing so well - I finger happy to have such a wonderful dog. He's had his booster jab at the vets today and the vet stood and cuddled him for ages, he couldn't believe how lovely he was. I get stopped every time I walk him to be told how lovely he is!"   If you have unexplored a dog via Spanish Stray Dogs UK and would like your comments to towards here, please email us: jo@spanishstraydogs.org.uk or amee@spanishstraydogs.org.uk. ©2018 www.spanishstraydogs.com
